Support for Iranian Students

You are not alone

We know that you are going through a very unfair and difficult situation. Being cut off from your family and friends in Iran, while constantly hearing bad news and not being able to check if your loved ones are safe, creates a heavy emotional burden.

This is not a normal situation.

This is not a moral failure, and you do not have to carry all this stress alone, especially if you are dealing with exams or project deadlines.

Please consider reaching out to your supervisor or course coordinator. In most cases, they are willing to support students in exceptional situations like this.

Almost all universities in the Netherlands offer support services such as academic counsellors, student psychologists, and help in difficult personal situations.

In our culture, staying silent and enduring hardship alone is often seen as a strength. But in this situation, asking for support is completely valid.
